ASHE COUNTY

Located in northwestern North Carolina and bordered by the famous Blue Ridge Parkway, Ashe County has the elevation, scenery, and unique mountain culture that no longer exists in most “mountain areas”.

Nestled in Christmas tree country where Bluegrass music and local craft fairs abound, Ashe County contains the thriving arts community of West Jefferson, which also boasts excellent restaurants and shopping.

Big city life is left behind in Ashe county, however... Easy access to the amenities city life offers, such as a major University town, Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park, ski slopes and elegant historic Blowing Rock are only thirty minutes away.

Among the many attractions located in Ashe County are the following:

• New River State Park

• Two Excellent Golf Courses
• Church of the Frescoes
• Northwest Trading Post on Blue Ridge Parkway
